MOTION DESIGN
Tasked to develop a typography-based advertisement for a fictitious typography-based convention, an analysis into letterforms and typesetting resulted in the personification of a typeface itself. Using type founder Jan Tschibold’s Gabon, who also created the iconic Penguin Books design aesthetic, a playful investigation into the curved weights and childlike serifs produced a looping animatic intended to catch the eye of a passerby and inquire more about the intricacies of typography.
